The color of this piece is rich and silky with strong saturation that gives it a royal blue resting color, but when you add the light, BAM! you have a stunning blue gray hues with a strong royal blue chevron in the middle.

 The cut of this sapphire takes full advantage of this, and was faceted to incorporate this natural growth pattern giving it beautiful symmetry. And if that wasn't all, when you tilt this sapphire you can see the addition of proustite, a mineral containing real silver that develops with some, but not all sapphire and ruby gemstones, giving it a lovely silver sheen.
