 Fantastic Collectible WWI French Shell Casing Trench Art Sculpture.       

Spectacular example of WWI (1914-18) “trench art.” The term refers to shell casings carved into decorative items by artisan soldiers biding their time between fierce battles, to commemorate a place or event, or simply to avert boredom.

Markings on the bottom are searchable to find the origin of the metal and the foundry, which would give further clues as to the date of manufacture.

Vintage Marvel comic book lot featuring four classic issues spanning the Silver Age and Bronze Age of Marvel Comics. A fantastic mixed lot for collectors, investors, or fans of iconic Marvel characters, including the X-Men, Hulk, Daredevil, and Spider-Man. Included in this lot: X-Men #41 (February 1968), featuring “Now Strikes the Sub-Human!” and origin content involving Cyclops. Classic Silver Age X-Men issue. Daredevil #20 (September 1966), Early Silver Age Daredevil appearance titled “The Verdict is Death!” Classic red costume era. The Incredible Hulk #116 (June 1969), Bronze Age Hulk issue featuring “The Eve of Annihilation!” Marvel Fanfare #1 (March 1982), First issue of the popular anthology series featuring Spider-Man and the Savage Land. Condition: Comics are sold as shown in photos. Stored in protective sleeves. Condition appears to range from Fair to Very Good overall with visible wear, aging, creases, edge wear, and handling marks consistent with vintage comics. No professional grading has been performed. A very RARE and stunning Antique Buddha from the 18th century.  This artifact is a Cambodian Buddha in his royal vestments meditating on spiritual enlightenment. An amazing piece. This statuette was recovered from a collapsed Stupa in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  (A stupa is a Buddhist architectural structure that is place of meditation and a repository for relics and artifacts).  A stupa can have a repository of small statues, amulets and talismans. This very beautiful piece has remains of the original lacquer and gold gilding.  Made of a bronze alloy and a hard clay core. Measurements 5" x 4" x 2"  COA (Certificate of Authenticity) included with the purchase. A great rare addition to your South East Asia antique collection.
