African Uzoma Wood Mask

A handcarved African wood mask, titled 'Uzoma' (meaning "the good way" in the Igbo language), is an authentic NOVICA handcrafted product. This is created by skilled artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu. The mask measures 9.75 inches in height, 5.25 inches in width, and 2.4 inches in depth. It is crafted from local sese wood and clay. The artisan's meticulous process involves hand carving the mask, allowing it to dry for two weeks, and then sanding and painting it with striking yellow and blue highlights. The elongated nose, closed eyes, mouth, and dotted incision details are carefully hand-painted to enhance the mask's Nigerian-style, intended for wall display. Finished with clay for an aged, vintage look.
