Inarguably one of the most influential artists in comics today, Todd MacFarlane first started working on The Amazing Spiderman in 1988, and with the help of writer David Michelinie, created the villain Venom. In 1992, MacFarlane created Image Comics, and made a franchise out of his own character, Spawn.
