Large 1,927ct iridescent Ammonite fossil

This substantial ammonite fossil was sourced from Madagascar, and displays beautiful flashes of vivid rainbow ammolite opal on its shell that really pop. Referred to as fire ammonite, opalescent ammonite or iridescent ammonite, this incredible piece originated in the Cretaceous era, and is approximately 100 million years old. Its well cut inner side displays a mesmerizing Fibonacci sequence coupled with fantastic druzy pockets. It measures an impressive 154.1mm x 133.3mm x 24mm.
