Look at that color! 22.18ct rainbow Ammolite

Look at this gemstone! This large example has a full cover ammolite face that glows at every angle. The core of its color is a rich red that burns across its surface like embers in a fire, complimented by oranges, golds, and yellows with a touch of metallic green for good measure. Every movement creates a fiery whirlwind of changing colors. Due to the delicate nature of ammolite, most if not all cabochons are given a protective coating. This piece was given a two part epoxy coating giving it a Mohs hardness rating of right around 8, making them incredibly durable. You can even polish it! 23.9mm x 17.9mm x 6.2mm.
