Actual size of rug 2.6x3.6 ft, made of fine quality Kork (best quality lamb's wool) pile on wool foundation, all natural vegetable dye, this is a special rug in that it utilizes the highly sought after a lot of details and using double knot weaving techniques, which is very difficult to weave. Only the most skilled carpet weavers are able to weave this type of rug. It has 3D pile which means that this artwork looks three dimensional (its surface is raised as opposed to flat surface) so when you touch it you feel all the details of the motifs. It is done by cutting the pile at different heights. This basso-relievo technique is used specially on pictorial rugs to accentuate its details and double its beauty.
