This piece has phenomenal color! The rich red hue of this ruby is tempered with a violet undertone, and is filled with rusty orange and black striations that give it a metallic shine and constant color shifts. It is covered with a glistening superior luster, and has a semi opaque body. It has incredible size measuring 16.5mm x 12mm x 6.7mm, and has a Mohs hardness rating of 9 out of 10 making it perfect for setting. This exotic example was sourced from Winza, Tanzania. Unheated!
