Gorgeous 5.72ct semi black Welo Opal

This is a large Welo opal! It has pops of play of color that rolls through its caramel hue and smoky translucency with smoldering greens, pinks and golds. Since opals have less density than other gems, it has a great size to weight ratio, measuring 15mm x 10.6mm x 7mm and is finished with a glistening liquid luster. Sourced from Ethiopia. Untreated!
