OVERALL FRAMED DIMENSIONS ARE APPROXIMATELY 42 X 22 INCHES. FERNANDO ALCARAZ WAS BORN IN ALCOY, ALICANTE, SPAIN IN 1969. HE ATTENDED THE ESCUELA DE ARTES Y OFICIOS IN ALCOY AT THE AGE OF 15. ALCARAZ EXPERIMENTED WITH A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT MEDIUMS INCLUDING PASTELS, WATERCOLORS, AND PENCIL DRAWINGS, BEFORE WORKING WITH OIL PAINTING. THE SUBJECT OF ROSES GROWING ALONG WEATHERED STUCCO WALLS IS A COLLECTOR FAVORITE. EACH PAINTING BY ALCARAZ CONSISTS OF LAYER UPON LAYER OF OIL PAINT PROVIDING AN AGED AND DIMENSIONAL QUALITY.
