Glowing 1.30ct ocean blue unheated Grandidierite

The color of this gem is simply stunning and very unique. It presents a deep ocean blue hue with a strong green undertone that creates a shift in color dominance depending on the lighting. It measures an impressive 8.6mm x 6.4mm x 3.4mm, and has a semi-translucent body. This scarce gemtype is known by collectors and connoisseurs as one of the rarest in the world, and this example was sourced from the now depleted deposit near Tranomaro, Madagascar.
