Massive 13.25ct rich violet blue Tanzanite

This tanzanite has a lot going on inside, but it exhibits a rare AAA D-Block top blue violet color exhibiting strong saturation. Heating is a common, and globally accepted treatment for tanzanite to bring out its gorgeous colors, but this rare example is unheated. This is the color of the rough that was mined from Tanzania. As with all tanzanite, this gem exhibits a ravishing superior luster, and it measures an impressive 16.5mm x 12.7mm x 7.5mm.
