A predator among predators, the tiger is a powerful and magnificent creature. They travel alone and have paid no allegiance to anyone. They are brutal killers, and yet they are excellent caregivers for their cubs. Three of the nine subspecies of modern tiger have gone extinct, and the remaining six are classified as endangered. The tiger is the world favorite animal dogs are the second. Some people compare the behaviors of tigers to that of humans. People can relate to the tiger, as it is fierce and commanding on the outside, but noble and discerning on the inside.
