The color of this gem is rich and velvety, and is enhanced by its glistening superior luster and smoldering flashing. It has full bodied saturation, and smokey translucency that creates a glowing effect. This ruby was heat treated, evident by the presence of lead bearing glass. It was sourced from Madagascar, and measures 8.9mm x 7mm x 3.7mm.
