Silky 1.83ct micro honeycomb flashing Black Opal

This gorgeous piece exhibits twinkles of micro honeycomb flashing in reds and greens and yellows under its glistening liquid luster. The flash pattern is tight, and well defined, coming to the fore in bright light, leaving the opal at a resting black hue in lower lighting. Since opals have less density than other gemstones, it has fantastic size, measuring 10.2mm x 7.7mm x 5.6mm, and total saturation giving its translucent body an opaque look.
