Gorgeous large semi antique Persian Kashan rug. Size 13.5x9.7 feet, made of fine quality baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation, all natural vegetable dye, Incorporating an elegant Shah Abbas floral pattern on a rich red background, eye catching large central medallion; detailed four corner crown placements, and contrasted beautifully with an intricate multi-layer floral border. Where a typical Persian rug employs between twelve and sixteen colors, this lovely piece features over thirty-eight different colors. This rug is masterfully hand woven, knot by knot, using superior quality baby lamb's wool. It takes a master weaver over three years to create this beauty and bring it to the market. Please note that also attesting to the fine weave is the fact that the back of this rug looks as good as the front. The design of this rug is known as a classic Persian Kashan design rug. Hand woven in Kashan, Iran. The approximate year of origin: 1975-1985
Size: 13.5x9.7 Feet
