$20 1929-1 NBN Chase National Bank of NY NY Ch. 2370
This small size $20 National Bank Note is from The Chase National Bank of the City of New York and is a great hometown note. Founded in 1877 as The Chase National Bank and was named afer former US Treasury Secretary and Chief Justice Salmon P. Chase, though he did not have a connection to the bank. After mergers and acquisitions, today the bank operates as JP Morgan Chase, NA still headquartered in New York City.Though this note has some blue discoloration and pencil on the face, pencil and a red "8" stamp on its reverse, and three tiny pinholes visible only when backlit, it's still a perfect addition to any collection or person with a connection to The Big Apple or Chase National Bank.
Note grades Fine to Very Fine.
