Impressive 14kt yellow gold Egyptian king pendant. On the king's headcloth there is a doulbe uraeus of a cobra and a vulture.

The cobra is associated with the sun god and the kingdom of Lower Egypt. Also a symbol of protection, it wards off enemies of the royal family and guides them on their journey through the underworld. The vulture was symbolic of Upper Egypt and also used for royal protection. Kings wore the double uraeus to show their control over all of Egypt.
