40 Unsearched Silver War Nickels.  Another part of a 2000 coin lot with a few uncs in there. Unsearched. for varity , laminated or anything. There was a severe copper shortage during the war and silver was plentiful and cheaper So much so that they switched during the year and made them through the rest of the war. Must have been easier to strike than steel cents which lasted only a year. Frequently seen in WW11 museum displays   Stock Photo
