40 Unsearched Silver War Nickels. Stock Photo. From a decent size unsearched lot. They were just counted up in groups of 40. Appears to be a few uncs in each bag. There was a severe shortage of copper So they substituted silver which was plentiful and cheaper at the time. There were varieties and sometimes they laminate as well.
