Super quality hand made fine Ghashghai rug. Size 5.3 x 8.2 feet, made of all natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, pure silk and worsted wool pile on cotton foundation. A confluence of styles and influences, Qashqai wool carpets incorporate a variety of tribal designs. The nomadic tribal weavers inhabited parts of central Asia and the Caucasus before arriving in southern Persia, moving across the region over time. As a result, their creations reflect the bold geometry of Turkmen weaving, the tendency toward striking color palettes and saturated hues inherent to Caucasian weaving, and the rich ornamentation characteristic to Persian artisans.
