1839-O Seated Liberty Half Dime, No Drapery variety, struck at the historic New Orleans Mint. This early United States silver coin features the classic Seated Liberty design on the obverse and wreath reverse with HALF DIME denomination. A desirable better-date New Orleans issue popular with collectors of early American silver coinage. A great addition to any U.S. type coin, Seated Liberty, or early silver collection. Because apparently, in 1839, Americans decided five cents should contain actual silver and enough tiny details to torment collectors 187 years later. The coin displays honest circulation wear with strong remaining details for the grade. Date, lettering, stars, and wreath details remain visible. Surfaces show natural, circulated gray toning with no major damage observed. A solid collectible example of this scarce early Seated Liberty Half Dime issue. Condition: Estimated Grade: VG/Fine Details.
