In warmer lighting the blue tones of this piece come forward as the dominant color, giving you an almost sky blue palette, and in cooler lighting, the green tones come to the fore, giving you the classic mint green color palette. And in mixed lighting, you have a gorgeous blue green hue. Unlike other emerald producing regions, Nigerian emeralds develop with the natural addition of vanadium, giving them their regionally specific blue green colors, and it looks like this one got a little more than most creating its unique color shifting. It has a gorgeous scissor cut with crisp SI clarity, and a superior luster that sparkles over its pops of glittering flashing. This emerald measures 7.5mm x 6mm x 4.2mm, and is oiled only with no dyes or fillers. Just pure collectors emerald.
