Grossular garnet gets its name from the Latin grossularia, from which we derive gooseberry in modern English. This rare type of garnet typically has hints of green just like its namesake fruit. But this stunning example features a brilliant golden orange hue with just the slight hint of pink in its undertone! Not only is that uncommon, but it really makes its color pop! It has a cushion cut with wide overlapping facets giving it brilliant confetti flashing, and is covered by a vitreous luster. The rare color palette of this gem combined with its cut and size and crisp SI clarity makes this highly unique garnet a must for collectors and connoisseurs.
