Talk about an amazing gemstone! Ametrine is mix of amethyst and citrine which happens when the crystal is exposed to extreme heat during formation, turning the violet amethyst a golden hue. They are found in bands of crystals around the edges of this unique geological heating between the citrine and amethyst. This one has a vibrant color palette where the violets and golds have blended together beautifully while retaining their individual color characteristics. And even after all of the heat and pressure, this high quality ametrine crystal shows amazing eye clean clarity! The tight barrel cut bottom of this piece creates vivid linear flashing while its scissor cut top adds glittering flashing, and the whole display sparkles under its superior luster.
