This is an interesting gemstone! Its body color is actually a rich cherry red with a pinkish amber undertone. Hearing this, you would think it was a very bright garnet, right? Wrong. The color of this piece is heavily influenced by a luster so well polished that it fills the gem with deep velvety black shadows. This results in a reddish black resting color that explodes in glittering cherry red flashing! It's almost like this garnet decided it wanted to be elegant and flashy at the same time.
