Horse and Colt Bronze Sculpture

The mother mare, though legs wobbling, excitedly bends her neck down to touch nose with her newborn creation. The young foal lays with sprawled legs that eventually one day will carry her across the landscapes of the earth. The beholder witnesses this special moment where a bond is forged on the stable floor. The bronze sculpture was cast using the early method of lost-wax casting and finished with a brown patina stain for preservation and is mounted upon a marble base.
