Presented here is a set of gemstones cut from pure Mozambique tourmaline, and they're pink! But this isn't your kiddy corner dime store bubble gum pink. No, this is rich, sophisticated pink for grown ups. This isn't the pink you'll see in the candy isle, this is the pink you see at the edge of a sunrise, the kind of pink on your prize winning roses, the kind of pink that makes people stop and say, "Oh my goodness, that piece is gorgeous". First, we bake at high heat for roughly 500 million years (that's the approximate age of Mozambique's pink tourmaline deposits). While baking, we add a dash of manganese, the mineral that gives them their pink color, creating a lovely rose pink hue, and then we add just a hint of violet to give them depth. Sprinkle in some glittering full bodied flashing (because even adults like to sparkle), add a pinch of eye clean to VS clarity, and top them off with premium polished lusters to add an extra pop of sparkle. And viola! You have a set that is a geological and gemological masterpiece. These gorgeous gemstones were cut to set, measuring 4.5x3mm to 5x3mm each, and have a natural Mohs hardness rating of 7-7.5 out of 10 so they are perfect for daily or nightly wear.
