This gem was cut from pure ruby sourced from Winza, Tanzania, and has received no treatments. It has gorgeous red hue is tempered with a well blended violet undertone giving this ruby a velvety appearance in low light. But when you hold it to the light, it shows whispers of pink through its body color, adding a delicate vibrancy with touches of dark violet. And all of this through a translucent body. It measures an impressive 11.5mm x 8.9mm x 5mm, and has a Mohs hardness rating of 9 out of 10.
