OK, ladies and gentlemen, we've got to say, this opal is simply ridiculous. You've got to hold it in your hand to get the full scope of all of the color this piece puts out. The picture and video of this opal don't even come close. And the thing is, this opal isn't picky. It doesn't care what lighting you put it in, it's giving color. Warm lighting? Color. Cool lighting? Color. Bright lighting? Color. Dim lighting? Color. Hold it in a shadow and take a look. You guessed it, color. But not just any color, this opal gives you deep vivid colors. Rich grass greens twist in and out of underlying cobalt blues creating teal, fire engine reds do the same resulting in a phantom purple hue in its background. At some angles you will see fairy fire flashing, while at others you can observe gorgeous floral patterns. At one tilt, we observed a full green top that flowed in place like frozen rapids. Move it around, walk into different rooms. Go outside. We did. And every color listed we observed personally. This is a fun piece. It has an elongated oval cut measuring 11.5mm x 7.5mm x 5mm and is fully faceted. Sourced from Ethiopia. Heated only.
