And because of the strong chromium content, (the mineral that gives rubies their red color) the silver shimmer is touched with pink and violet! And covering this whole unique display is a premium polished luster that reflects light off of every facet creating a twinkling effect. Finally, we have the cut of the ruby. The strong saturation and semi transparency of this piece allowed the gem cutter to give it a pendant cut without losing any color, creating a larger surface area and giving it the illusion of being a much larger gemstone.
