Rare collectors 8ct grass green Grossular Garnet
Grossular garnet gets its name from the Latin grossularia, from which we derive gooseberry in modern English. This rare type of garnet typically has hints of green just like its namesake fruit. But this stunning example features a rich green hue with strong saturation. It has a classic oval cut, and is covered by a vitreous luster. The rare color palette of this gem combined with its cut and size makes this highly unique garnet a must for collectors and connoisseurs. It measures 12.4mm x 10.8mm x 7mm, and is unheated. Sourced from Madagascar.
Gems come with a complimentary gem jar for display and protection, size permitting. All treatments are disclosed*, and all weights and sizes are approximate. Listed gemstones are greatly magnified, and minor details that present themselves in the photo may not be visible with the naked eye. There may be slight color differences due to individual monitor settings and capabilities. *Except for topaz. As irradiation is the standard treatment for this gem type, they should be assumed to be as such, unless stated otherwise in the description.
