It erupts in brilliant play of color that rolls across it in a strong mix of patchwork harlequin patterns, block patterns, and floral patterns shining in blended reds, yellows, greens, and oranges in a fiery display. The play of color is enhanced by its silky black body, and the luster of this piece glistens across its smooth cut surface. This gem has a medium domed cabochon cut giving it very impressive surface space measuring 12.7mm x 9.1mm x 6mm. This stunning opal shows beautiful play of color in hand. Sourced from Welo, Ethiopia. Heat treated.
