This handmade shirasaya-style katana features a full-tang blade forged from high-carbon steel and clay-tempered to produce a real hamon. The blade is sharpened and made using traditional processes including hot forging, heat treatment, tempering, and polishing. The handle and scabbard are made from solid wood, with a brass habaki and double mekugi (pins) securing the tang. This sword follows the “Zatoichi” minimalist shirasaya format, where the mount is plain and functional rather than combat-ornamented. While the katana is fully capable as a cutting blade, it is also commonly used for display, collection, or martial arts practice. Measures approximately standard katana length (around 40.5 inches overall, 27.6-inch blade, 10.24-inch handle).
