1880 U.S. $5 Liberty Head Gold Half Eagle – Brilliant Uncirculated (BU)

A classic piece of American numismatic history, the 1880 Liberty Head Half Eagle features a left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty wearing a coronet inscribed LIBERTY, surrounded by thirteen stars representing the original colonies, with the date below. The reverse displays a majestic heraldic eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch, encircled by UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
