This is an attention grabbing gemstone with a bi-color hue that almost looks like a cats eye! You have a deep pine green resting color with a dramatic black stripe through its middle. But when you hold it to the light, you can observe its beautiful translucency while its body color brightens to yellow green and its black stripe stands out like a black thorn frozen in crystal. Talk about a fairytale style gem! It has a classic oval cut with wide faceting that glints under its high polished luster, and measures an impressive 11.5mm x 9.5mm x 7mm. This exotic sapphire was sourced from Africa. Beryllium heated for permanent color retention.
