On top of that it has a superior luster that casts light shadow play through this gem, adding crisp definition to its fiery display. It has ample size, weighing over two and a quarter carats, and measures an impressive 8.3mm x 6.8mm x 4.5mm with a Mohs hardness rating of 9 out of 10 making it more than ready for an heirloom style setting. This is an untreated sapphire from Tanzania.
