Intense and elegant 13.51ct top cherry red Hessonite Garnet!

We've offered many examples of amazing hessonite garnets, but this piece is special. It has the rich burgundy hue that makes these them so popular for elegant settings, but instead of the usual amber undertone found in these gems, this one has a strong cherry red presence. The rich smoky clarity of garnet diffuses the light as it passes through and holds it in the gem, creating a rich glowing center that resembles red lights coming up from the deep. The photo and video only capture part of its display. And its unique modified oval cut maximizes its surface area, creating ample room for its high polished luster to dance across its wide cut facets. It measures an impressive 18mm x 12.8mm x 8.2mm, and was sourced from Mozambique. Untreated!
