Glittering! Collectors mine cut 4.21ct cherry red Garnet!
This stunning rhodolite garnet is what is referred to as "new old stock", meaning that it was actually bought decades ago to use for jewelry, but was never set. It was trapped away in a jewelers safe until now, and is ready to add to your jewelry collection! The color of this garnet is phenomenal, boasting a true cherry red hue (almost ruby red!) that is accompanied by bright cherry red flashing. This color palette in rhodolite is getting harder to find in an untreated state, and chances are, you are not going to find another mine cut example. The only modern attribute to this piece is its expert polishing! It has fantastic size, especially for its era, measuring 9.7mm x 7.9mm x 6.2mm with a classic cushion cut. Sourced from Africa. UNTREATED!!!
