This painting is in excellent condition and has only been shown in a gallery setting.  Jesús Navarro was born in Jerez, (Cadiz), located in southern Spain, in 1952. By the age of twelve his artistic talents led him to the local school of arts and crafts (Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Jerez) where he studied painting and sculpture. At this time he also became the apprentice of locally renowned painter, Ramírez Toro, under which Navarro learned the complex techniques of classical painting. In 1971, Navarro moved to Barcelona where he began a phase of self-teaching, focusing on combining classical techniques along with his newly discovered self interests in detailed formation of compositions. At the age of 25, Navarro partnered with other painters along with the City Hall of Barcelona to create the Escuela de Arte Tres en Raya where he was the director. In 1996, Navarro’s work was part of a collective exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, Florida. The museum acquired a piece from this exhibition for their permanent collection. Navarro’s work has continued to grow in popularity allowing him to exhibit his work in Spanish cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia and in Scotland, China, and the United States. The art of Navarro is found in private collections in Europe, Asia, North and South America.

"The reality of the environments and rustic architecture of a Spain that still exists in the most unsuspected places that we would all like to find, walls of lime in the sun, Mediterranean vegetation, figures, the sea ..." Fernando Aracil was born in the city of Alcoy (Alicante), Spain in 1954. It is in his hometown where he began his studies at the Academy of Painting of Rafael Abad. After years of studying art and traveling throughout his country, Aracil formulated his own aesthetic that has deep roots in the culture and art of Spain. Aracil is one of the original artists of the group of Spanish Levante painters. He has participated in a number of juried exhibitions on both a national and international level, as well as in group exhibitions in Spanish cities, Madrid, Barcelona, Oviedo, Alcoy, Denia and in European cities London, Porto, Rome and Cologne. Aracil is a painter in solidarity with the world around him.  He states, "The reality of the environments and rustic architecture of a Spain that still exists in the most unsuspected places that we would all like to find, walls of lime in the sun, Mediterranean vegetation, figures, the sea ... elements that make up a pictorial reality based on the rigor and quality."  In his work, Aracil aims to capture the beauty of all that his countryside offers including the mundane.

Antonio Torres is an artist from Alicante, Spain. Balletomane, defined as a ballet enthusiast, aptly describes Torres’ devotion to dance. Throughout his evolution as a painter, he has dedicated himself to one recurring theme: ballet. Dancers from all over the world showcase graceful poses and elegant costumes in each captivating painting. Fascinated with ballerinas’ patterns of movement and psychological dedication, Torres skillfully captures their mastery of performance by depicting their varied demeanors both on and off the stage. While Torres portrays notable dancers from all over the world, his work is categorized into three distinct series and each inspired by a different ballerina. The Contrasts series provide striking distinctions between light and shade frequently placed in intimate settings. Blue Dream paintings convey the beauty of ballet through various expressionistic techniques, while the Blue Rainbow series incorporates surrealism to depict dreamlike performances. Through this diversity, Torres captures the multifaceted aspects of ballet and its dedicated performers. Torres personalizes private moments, and this exclusive access to intimate views offstage are a hallmark of his work. Aware of the rare circumstances accessed to him via his friendships with numerous ballerinas, Torres graciously remarks, “I thank God for having the opportunity to be surrounded by so many talents behind the scenes.” Though visually divergent, Contrasts, Blue Dream, and Blue Rainbow unite in inviting viewers behind the scenes to share his intimate point of view.
