Ivana Mlinar has loved art and the process of creating art since she was a child.  Inspired by her desire to learn more about the skill of painting, Ivana spent years studying Italian Renaissance art in Florence, Venice, Padua, Pisa and Verona from the years of 1975 – 1979.  Upon completing this early training she studied at the University of Split in Croatia where in 1984 she earned a Masters in print-making and the history of Medieval Arts.  In 1986, just years out of school Ivana became a member of Croatian Association of Fine Artists and since than participated in a number of juried art exhibitions. Ivana currently lives off the coast of Florida with her husband Frane Mlinar, an accomplished artist himself.  Her current work is inspired by her love of nature.  Whether at the beach or in the mountains, these destinations inspire feelings of happiness and pleasure. Her colorful figures strolling with loved ones, walking dogs, flying kites, or enjoying a number of other recreational activities aims to encourage viewers to pause and delight in the beauty of everyday life.

This painting is in excellent condition, new gallery arrival. Cortes is a Spanish artist born in Valencia in 1963. He began law studies in his hometown, which he abandoned to devote himself exclusively to the Fine Arts. Self-taught landscaper, he initially came to the painting for the desire to capture with his hands the innumerable natural beauties of the Spanish east along its geography and more specifically the urban landscapes of Valencia, the lagoon and its beaches. Tireless traveler, over the years he has been collecting and saving in his retina images of all the cities he has visited such as Paris, Italy, Amsterdam, Casablanca, Istanbul, etc... to later incorporate them in a very personal and free way to his paintings in oil, generically titled "Broken Landscapes" by the pictorial technique used, mainly the spatula. It has an impressionist style, with a range of very neutral and elegant colors that create an atmosphere in his intimate paintings. He has participated in collective and private exhibitions, obtaining great admiration for the way he handles oil, a favorite material and that very few landscape designers manage to master with the simplicity of which he shows. Much of his work is in private collections in the US where their exhibitions and various works on decoration projects have proliferated.

This painting is in excellent condition and has only been shown in galleries.  This painting is gallery wrapped and finished on the edges so it can be hung without a frame.  Lorenzo’s work combines color inspiration from the impressionists and stylistics of pop like David Hockney into each painting to create something interesting and design forward.   Artist Statement:  Since childhood, about 5-6 years old, I have always felt the strange need to draw and paint. Drawing shapes with one simple pencil and then filling them with colors attracted me like a magnet, like that magical music that you don't want to stop to listening to. At the beginning it was a mixture of different feelings, some good and others as a way of escape and to ward off my ills. I know now art is a kind of therapy too. With the passage of time I have been understanding, as mother nature was becoming the main protagonist of my work, that there is nothing better than transmitting the love I feel for this nature (reflected in my family and in music too) that helps me so much. That is why I think that my painting is an attempt to explain this love that I feel for them, which is no different than love for life, for all living beings. And I think I'm getting it through the game of simple shapes and vivid colors. What you see it isn´t a “real” nature, it´s what I call a “dreamed landscape”,  that is not an exact copy of a specific place or a photograph, but it is more the feeling that nature (walking its landscapes with my family at weekends or holidays, studying another painters´ artworks, seeing photos at magazines, or surfing by the net, etc) or music transmits me, that I represent in the canvas in a symbolic way.

Fernando Aracil was born in the city of Alcoy (Alicante), Spain in 1954. It is in his hometown where he began his studies at the Academy of Painting of Rafael Abad. After years of studying art and traveling throughout his country, Aracil formulated his own aesthetic that has deep roots in the culture and art of Spain. Aracil is one of the original artists of the group of Spanish Levante painters. He has participated in a number of juried exhibitions on both a national and international level, as well as in group exhibitions in Spanish cities, Madrid, Barcelona, Oviedo, Alcoy, Denia and in European cities London, Porto, Rome and Cologne.
