This is a large Welo opal! It has demure play of color that rolls through its off white hue and smoky translucency with smoldering greens, pinks and golds. Since opals have less density than other gems, it has a great size to weight ratio, measuring 14.3mm x 10.8mm x 8.2mm and is finished with a glistening liquid luster. Sourced from Ethiopia. Untreated!
