This gorgeous malachite exhibits a naturally striated bullseye pattern in multiple shades of green under a glistening liquid luster. It measures 42.7mm x 29.6mm x 7.6mm, and is untreated. Malachite has a long history, from its use as a protective amulet in ancient times, to being ground for pigments for painting, to the great "Malachite Room" at the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia. This striking gem has been admired for its unique green color palette for generations. Sourced from the Congo.
