The story goes that as Perseus slit the Medusa neck, the winged horse Pegasus sprang from her blood and flew up to Zeus in the heavens, thus becoming a symbol for poetic inspiration. The bronze sculpture was molded using the ancient method of lost-wax casting and finished with a brown patina tarnish and mounted upon a marble base. Dimensions: Height 15 X Width 12 inches.
