Gorgeous handmade Persian Yalameh rug with unique tribal pattern. Size 3.4x5.1 feet, made of soft quality wool and tight pile on cotton foundation. A unique characteristic of diamond-shaped medallions in a straight line on a rich and heavy color palette made this rug a unique Yalameh. Yalameh is the name given to the flamboyant southern Iranian carpets woven primarily in and around the village of Aliabad in the southern Iranian province of Fars in Iran. Yalameh rugs are among the best tribal rugs and carpets woven in Iran. Yalameh rugs, well known for top quality tribal rugs with beautiful diamond patterns, distinctive use of color, and imaginative designs. The approximate year of origin: 1995-2005
