This is a Pierre-Auguste Renoir restrike etching titled “SUR LA PLAGE” or ON THE BEACH” (c. 1892). The central image shows Julie Manet, Berthe Morisot’s daughter, and her cousin watching bathers from the beach.
A very rich impression of this print showing Renoir’s mastery of the figure.
Struck on thick paper. signed Renoir in the plate, lower left. Image measures 5 ” x 4″. Paper measures 11″ x 9″.
