This is a sculpture of the birth of Venus. She emerges from the water nude and standing on a large shell. Her hair wraps around her body and is lifted by the wind surrounding her. She holds one hand to her thigh with the end of her hair, concealing the crevice between her legs. Her right hand rests over her breast as she breaths in and shuts her eyes in relaxation. She is whimsical and stunning in her new form, and represents a new beginning and birth. This is a solid 100% bronze piece with a two tone brown patina. Cast using the "Lost Wax Method".
