Hand Woven Vintage Persian Kashkouli Gabbeh Rug. 100% Natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, hand spun, baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. Gabbeh rugs are woven by nomadic tribes in the south western part of Iran. The intriguing notion about Gabbeh rugs is the fact that the birthplace of such a sophisticated and contemporary designs is among tribal nomads with very little education, if any at all. In fact, it is only then, that one would come to realize and appreciate the fact that this is man's intrinsic genius way of celebrating life. Hence producing such a sophisticated, contemporary looking pieces.
